We are seeking a CFO for a Charlotte-based supplier of tower cranes for major building projects throughout the Southeast.  The ideal candidate will have a solid record of accomplishments in a series of increasingly responsible positions.  Qualifications will include:

•   at least 15 to 20 years of work experience; must be a seasoned business person with lots of maturity and good judgment;

•   financial acumen; must be completely comfortable with the numbers side of the business;

•   a strategic bent and a vision for the future; must have helped guide a company through growth and challenging times; will bring a variety of valuable experiences at a time when the company will be considering new markets, new businesses and possibly new partners;

•   significant managerial experience and leadership ability; will have demonstrated time and again those qualities that set leaders apart from their peers; will believe in empowering people;

•   a roll-up-the-sleeves work style; a person who enjoys a small company atmosphere; will be comfortable delegating and doing; will have a spirit of pitching in to get the job done; won’t mind getting dirt under the fingernails or mud on the shoes; in other words, prima donnas won’t do;

•   familiarity with the construction industry; while not a requirement, a person who knows something about our client's customers’ businesses would have an advantage;

•   honesty and high integrity; character above reproach; our client is and will remain a family-owned business; the owners are seeking candidates who share the values that are important in its culture;

•   strong educational background; candidates with CPAs and or MBAs will be advantaged.
